The Plantation

I had to 100 GOOD frames for my photography class, and I decided that I should go to the Wormsloe Plantation to get some of the shots that I edited.
The entrance to the plantation is this long driveway enclosed by a tunnel of these creepy trees and spanish moss.
Me playing around with the shutterspeed.

I edited this one :P I liked it because it looks like I'm bending the trees with my mind.

Wedding Belles

Normally I don't do BW photos, because I think they're easy, trendy and thoughtless most of the time, but for this set of photos I really thought it was appropriate. These were photos that I may or may not use for a poster project I'm doing for the Opera, The Marriage of Figaro. Since there are so many role reverals and costume changes in the play, I wanted to shoot a bunch of portraits of different subjects with a wedding veil (nasty fabric from Joannes) as the cohesive element.

Lacoste Project

I'd really like some feedback on these. They're magazine ads for a MOMA sponsored series of Lacoste Cologne packages. I revised the first drafts, but still need some feedback.

This is the new ad. I tried to make it look a lot more dynaimic, and incorporated the theme of art nouveau in the background.
A poster of all three boxes front and back.

3 Amazing Thrift Shop Finds

I haven't been thrifting in so long. Here are a few of the things I found.

This book is absolutely gorgeous. The cover is what really sold me on it, but there are pages in the book that are very well designed as well. It's a book about the flora and fauna, and indigenous people of australia. If something is going to collect dust and take up space in my dorm room, it might was well be a book that is designed to a key.

I'm going to guess that this polo is from the eighties. I'm a fan of the toothpaste color scheme, and I really only wear blues and greens anyway so why not wear them all at once. It's got a pocket in the front just big enough to hold nothing. It's easily one of my new favorites. I wore it to Venus de Milo last weekend, and go some good results, as in nobody told me to my face it was hideous, so it must be wearable.

Another book! This one is about the Pilgrims coming to America over Christmas. The cover is so so, but the illustration spreads are beautiful, and I really like the style. Kids from the fifties didn't realize how lucky they had is, children's books today are poor at best.

Thieves Like Us Photoshoot pt. 1 Gray

This was the first part of a photoshoot I did for a website I'm making for a class. The website is based off of a band I LOVE called Thieves Like Us. I'm setting up a picture gallery for one of my web pages, and asked my friend Gray to model for me. The art direction I was going for was that Gray was a hipster leaving a rave or some event, passing out on the way home in the middle of the street.

This last one was Gray's idea, and I couldn't let him not do it! I didn't use it on my website though.
